We are seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a neurosurgeon. This role involves assisting with neurosurgical procedures, managing cranial and spinal trauma patients, performing diagnostic studies, and participating in daily hospital rounds.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in neurosurgical procedures (craniotomies, spinal surgeries, microscopic procedures).
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (wound closure, lumbar punctures, ventriculostomies).
• Manage trauma patients with ICP monitors, EVDs, drains, and fixation devices. - Order and interpret labs, imaging studies, and medications as directed.
• Conduct daily rounds, document patient progress, and participate in discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff; counsel patients and families.

We require:

• Physician Assistant License in NY
• Completion of the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course
• One year of PA experience in neurosurgery may substitute for ATLS
• Knowledge of neurological sciences and clinical medicine
• Ability to perform specialized procedures and follow physician's instructions
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
